about

The Tamzara is an Anatolian dance performed by Armenians, Turkish and Greeks. The dance is reputed to originate from an ancient Armenian village in the region of Şebinkarahisar. Different versions of the Tamzara exist, varying between different regions and villages. This version is danced in a line or in a circle, with each participant holding their neighbor by the little finger.
